Description
In the foreground is the Memorial Tree, planted in 1919 in honor of the Plymouth Boys who died in the World War. The Plymouth Training Green is located on Sandwich Street in Plymouth, Massachusetts. Veteran's Day and Memorial Day parades end with a ceremony on the Plymouth Training Green.
In the center is the Grand Army of the Republic monument. "In 1711, this area was designated as a training ground for local soldiers. It became a memorial park in 1889. The monument is dedicated to the soldiers who lost their lives in the Civil War and the War of 1812." ~ The Plymouth Patch
