Description
Western Oregon is the land of many rivers and streams. This particular creek is called McDowell Creek and I am very fortunate to have it very close to my home.
I often visit this area to do a little hiking and some much needed rest and relaxation. I find walking through the tall Douglas Fir trees and listening to the creek flow by is very invigorating.
I hope you all enjoy the view as much as I did capturing this particular composition.
McDowell Creek Park is located approximately 13 miles east of my home town of Lebanon Oregon.

This is a wonderful capture. The foggy mist in the trees back lit by the sun and the movement of the water captured perfectly! I would love to hike here!! v

Love this beautiful waterscape! Wish I could just sit and drink in the wilderness for awhile! I was watching an episode of "Tougher in Alaska", no doubt true, but the one on that night was on logging, and I just cry inside to see all the gorgeous massive trees taken down and the rest of the land so damaged by equipment. I know we need wood, but it is still so heartbreaking. I will be so excited to see it all made new again One Glad Day!! f/love
