Inspired by Taddeo Gaddi's Madonna Del Parto, Florence, San Francesco di Paola.

Taddeo Gaddi (1300-1366) created the image of a pregnant Mary using both the buon fresco and fresco secco styles. Only a few representations of the pregnant Mary are known, most of them Italian of the 14th and 15th centuries, and historians therefore identify the image by its Italian title, Madonna del Parto.
