I've been watching these Carolina wrens for days now. They made a nest in the bluebird house right near my patio so it's convenient to keep an eye on them from my back door. Mama brings all sorts of delicacies to the four nestlings; her day is long and hard from all the hunting and delivering of food to the hungry mouths inside the nesting box. Daddy never brings food; he simply sits on the house and squawks; I guess it's his way of sending out warning signals to any ne'er do wells to stay clear of his territory.
