The white lotus or "Nelumbo nucifera" in full bloom, this only occurs for a short time once a year. In the marshland of East Harbor State Park, the white lotus flourishes. Each summer these eye-catching flowers dazzle visitors with their large saucer shaped leaves and beautiful white blooms. This variety is able to survive Ohio winters and come back year after year as lovely as ever.
