Description
This dirt road across the altiplano (literally "high plain") grasslands of Bolivia seems to go on for ever. This shot was taken near the village of Jesus de Machaca; the road was probably once part of the Qhapaq Nan or Great Inca Road that ran along much of the Andes and connected the further parts of the Inca Empire. It is now used by modern vehicles.
