Description
The title "Life is just a bowl of cherries" refers to the song sung by Ethel Merman back in the 1930s.
"Life is just a bowl of cherries;
Don't make it serious;
Life's too mysterious.
You work, you save, you worry so,
But you can't take your dough when you go, go, go..."

My compliments to you Colleen. You are a truly gifted and talented artist. I can see why most of your originals are sold. The pastels and paintings on your page were all amazing in their quality. The pastels I found wonderful with the Bowl of Cherries with its great subtle reflection on the side of the subtly colored bowl and the design of the composition with cherries spread out on table. Great shapes, great colors. I also liked the pastel of Currents, Excellent draftsmanship, beautiful play of red and green. Again, wonderful bowl. I did love the Lemon Slices (oil?) for its contrasting colors, orange and purple shadows. Very exciting to look at. I look forward to seeing more of your work. Sincerely, cheers, georgia
