Description
One of the best parts of spending time in the country is appreciating the simple things. Putting on a pair of comfortable shoes and heading out the door to discover new paths, new wild flowers and new scenes is good for the heart and good for the soul. The brilliance of the autumn colors adds a fleeting touch of magic. Catching the right day, when all the elements of sun and wind and rainfall amounts have come together to produce those few perfect days is pure luck. So glad I sometimes get it right!
This particular scene was captured in October of 2013 with the Nikon D7000 and the 18-200mm Nikkor lens on top of Blue Knob Mountain in Claysburg, Pennsylvania. Some tinkering with the photo in Camera Raw and Photoshop CS6 was done to create a painterly look.
