The ladybugs are small beetles that are commonly yellow, orange, or Scarlet with small black spots on their wing covers. Ladybugs are commonly known as ladybirds in Britain and Ireland and the southern United States. Ladybugs are considered useful insects because many of them feed on aphids or scale insects. They will lay hundreds of eggs and when these hatch the larvae start feeding immediately.
