The Kenosha North Pier lighthouse is a 'typical' Lake Michigan red tower. It was deemed excess property by the USGS in 2008 and is now owned by John Berhani as home for his Kenosha Lighthouse Studio! The lighthouse station at this site was established in 1856. The Kenosha North Pier Lighthouse (first constructed in 1906) is one of a succession of lighthouses at this location. The various lighthouse structures were rebuilt or moved as the buildings were destroyed by natural processes, or became obsolete as the piers were greatly extended. This red light is a sibling to the Milwaukee Pierhead LIght.

Nice lighthouse capture. Love the largeness of the landscape and those magnificent clouds. Like it.
