Description
This is a fence at the Jogyesa Buddhist Temple in Seoul, South Korea. It is not one of the major attractions, but I found it enchanting and couldn't resist snapping a photo. The actual gate is much more yellow in color, but I loved what the post processing did to it. The tree may (and I emphasize "may," as I can't find anything online except general information about Buddhist symbols) represent the Bodhi Tree, under which Buddha achieved nirvana. And deer generally represent Buddha's followers. Whatever the meaning, I think it is a truly lovely work of art in a beautiful, welcoming place.
