Nowhere in the world do not worship chrysanthemum than in Japan. One of the two main festivals of Japan - in honor of chrysanthemums, the country's highest award - the Order of the Chrysanthemum, even on the arms of the country of the Rising Sun is depicted this flower!
Moreover, the Japanese legend tells that the country itself owes its appearance to the chrysanthemum! It tells how a Chinese emperor to learn that on the islands over the sea grow beautiful flowers - chrysanthemum, of which, if they frustrate people with a pure heart, you can prepare an elixir of life; 300 boys and girls, on the orders of the Emperor, went to a dangerous path, but got to the island, they did not want to go back under the rule of cruel emperor, and founded a new nation.
In Japanese, the word "sun" and "Chrysanthemum" sound the same, and even portrayed a hieroglyph.
