Description
Every summer I have 3 different Doves that come and lay their eggs on top of our ceiling fan in our patio. This photo is of the second set that came in. They will take turns sitting on the eggs. When the eggs hatch you can see the male and female take turns feeding the babies. It's a fantastic site.

awww that is wonderful Berta! What a lovely treat to have that.
Berta Keeney replied:
I love listening to them, they seem to be louder in the evening and early morning. It's fun to watch Mom and Dad change places taking care of the nest. It's kind off like Wild Kingdom here..lol

I remember growing up in Texas ( I no longer live there) and hearing the doves in the morning, there was always something so sad yet very sweet about them, love this photo!
Berta Keeney replied:
Georgia, I hear them more now in Arizona! They come every year to have their babies on top of my fan in the back yard. lol..

Beautiful capture, Berta! Viewing this image, I know why the expression "peaceful as a dove" came to be! Lovely photograph! l/f
Berta Keeney replied:
Elizabeth, I love Doves! I look forward to the babies and watching them feed them. Last week I was able to watch the babies start to ruffle their feathers to get ready to fly! This week I have a new Momma Dove up there sitting on new eggs!
