Description
This original painting won a State Award in the Wisconsin Regional Artists Program in 2016.
This abandoned single family home sits empty and desolate in the hills of Eastern Tennessee with no one to care for it anymore. The buildings all once served good purposes, but now exist with little or no purpose. Sometimes that's how we feel about ourselves as we move into the winter of our lives. But even this abandoned farm still has purpose--even if its only to please the eye of someone who is reminded of home long ago. So your life still has purpose...even if you are entering the winter of your life.
This painting is done on a 14 X 18 canvas.

It does have purpose ...it brings much joy through your talented eye and brushes. Magical light ... such beauty!! In my mind, the farm has been purchased ...it has a lovely family ... lots of chickens in the yard and milk cows in the pastures ... and all are thriving once again. l/f t p and fb

A wonderful painting, Norm. Wish some of those homeless people in Houston or elsewhere could move into old abandoned homes. I hate to see these beautiful places empty although I know it would be a lot of work sometimes to make them livable. LF

Thanks Bonnie. It does look like that a lot of Americans are finally coming together to help in substantial ways. This is a welcome change of heart for many!
