I Am Home
The cool ocean air breezes through my hair with the fresh scent of salt.
I gaze across the endless ocean of little starlettes as the sun dances from wave to wave.
In the distance I hear the soft murmur of the foghorn sending out a hello to the local fishing fleet.
The gulls and pelicans zig and zag as they take their turn at catching a sardine for lunch.
The ground squirrels on the beach are basking in the golden rays of the sun, not a worry in the world.
The water matches the color of the sky and is embracing everything in its path.
I absorb this beauty with every ounce of my being, I am renewed and at peace.
I am Home.
