Description
Mt Huayna Potosi (6088m / 19,975ft) is one of the most popular climbs in Bolivia and by mountaineering standards a relatively non technical 6000m peak (the right hand or North Peak is the highest and most often climbed). It is part of the Cordillera Real range and easily reached from Bolivia's capital La Paz. Look closely bottom left and you can just see the red refuge (on top of the rocky ridge) that is the high camp area; the route from here heads right across the large icefield.
