Description
The original is a commission and was inspired by the black sand beaches, green sea turtles and petroglyphs of Hawai'i. The concept was to transform a honu petroglyph into a living sea turtle. Additionally, at the request of my clients, I painted the image without using the blues that are so often used in Hawaiian themed art.

I love the sea turtle going back into the ocean! Is it a mature female that has just laid eggs? What's the story? I love how you painted the rocks or stones to resemble the shape of a sea turtle!
