The Chinese national pavilion for the Shanghai Expo 2010, was designed with the concept of "Oriental Crown", a distinctive roof, standing 63 meters in height, made of traditional dougong brackets, which has a history dating back more than 2,000 years. Its main color is "Gugong (Forbidden City) Red" which represents the taste and spirit of Chinese culture.
The "Crown of the Orient" is a complex structure that celebrates a diverse range of traditional Chinese elements, including architecture, calligraphy, gardening and urban planning. The China Pavilion shows how amazing and modern China has become.

Congratulations on your tie for 3rd place in the recent Modern Architecture contest. This was one of my choices - dynamite color and graphics. Love it.
