This is a photo of a the elusive Great Blue Heron; they usually appear in our marsh closer to the end of summer and like all birds, they are not fond of being photographed! So I sat there for a good long time while he slept and forgot about me and I shot many images, I will post more of this bird in different poses(yes, he is yawning in one of them!).
