The Great Blue Heron is a large wading bird in the heron family and may be found near the shores of open water and in wetlands over most of North and Central America. It is the largest North American heron. It has head-to-tail length of 36-54 inches (91-137 cm), a wingspan of 66-79 inches (167-201 cm), a height of 45-54 inches (115-138 cm) and a weight of 4.6-7.9 lb (2.1-3.6 kg).
Adult Common Grackles are large, lanky blackbirds with long legs and long tails. The head is flat and the bill is longer than in most blackbirds, with the hint of a downward curve. In flight, the wings appear short in comparison to the tail. Males are slightly larger than females.
