I love music of many kinds. I usually listen to music while I paint. I have been singing since I was in HS and have my BA in Music. With this artistic ability I am going to try to "blend" what I feel listening to the music with the mood of the subjects I digitally paint.

While I was painting these grazing cows in the mountains I was listening too and meditating on Mozart's Requiem in D minor. As I painted each layer I concentrated on a different movement. If that movement was finished before I finished painting a layer, I would listen to that movement again. If I finished painting a layer before the movement was finished, which only happened once, I stopped and just concentrated on that movement.

I read an article online about 10 artists who listened to music while painting. Each of them were asked the question, "What do you listen to while painting?" It was interesting to read their responses.

With these thoughts in mind I decided to try to influence my painting while listening to music. Since I love classical music I decided to start there.
