Death Valley, the name is foreboding and gloomy. In the past, it was known as a place to avoid because this was not only a desert, it was the worst desert to attempt to navigate in any way.
Today it is relatively easy to visit Death Valley. Travelers can come by bus or car. The roads in and out of the valley are paved and maintained; not freeways, of course, but easy enough and safe enough for any passenger car. And driving off of the established roads within Death Valley National Park is prohibited.
So get out there and experience this marvelous part of nature that most people never see.
