Description
We appreciate the flowering plants in our gardens when they are in bloom, but once the blooming period is done, we tend to ignore the plants. After my Japanese Anemone plants were done blooming however, I was surprised to discover these exploding seed heads. The delicate fluffs with seeds were bursting from the old flower head and being released to be carried along with the wind. Lesson learned--all the stages of a plant's life cycle can be fascinating to observe!
