Description
This photograph of blooms of Geranium Dilys was taken while visiting a friend and her beautiful flower garden.
This hybrid hardy geranium is a cross between G. sanguinium and G. procurrens. It is a compact, clump-forming perennial with a sprawling habit which forms a 10" tall foliage mound. Spreads by prostrate stems to 36" wide. Features 1 1/4" diameter, 5-petaled, soft purple flowers with deep purple veins from late spring to early summer. Deeply cut leaves are divided into 5-7 wedge-shaped divisions. This cultivar was introduced by Axle Tree Nursery in England and named after English geranium enthusiast, Dilys Davis.
