GARDEN WILDFLOWERS by Lynn Bauer was taken on a beautiful spring morning at the Santa Barbara Botanic Garden in California. This lovely garden has many areas where native wildflowers grow in their natural surroundings. Santa Barbara is a very beautiful coastal town with the Santa Ynez mountains as a gorgeous backdrop. In this image, you can see the influence of the morning coastal fog that builds up against those mountains, giving a slightly softened look to the small yellow flowers, creating a beautiful contrast to the striking purple lupine.
