This Fourth of July rose is one of the many varieties of roses at Bellingrath Gardens in Theodore, Alabama. Bellingrath Gardens is one of the South's premiere gardens to visit, a destination place for many tourists. This image is somewhat enhanced with a moderately high contrast effect to bring out the rich colors of the flower. It almost creates the effect of a poster, and has somewhat of a three-dimensional feel to it. Some have even confused its bloom with that of a camellia, but it is actually the Fourth of July rose, one of the most beautiful I have ever seen!
