The inspiration for this bird is actually a friend who hates, really hates parrots as she is scared of their beaks. I told her a while back that I was going to do some therapy on her and desensitize her to seeing birds beaks in close up, and I don't think you can really get much more close than this other than a macro beak!
My friend will probably love the colors but will pass by the Macaw very quickly - at least that's what I imagine.
For myself, I adore birds and have 5 - in the house, too. It's a noisy house but I love them.
