Description
A bouquet of red geraniums placed on the table one early morning was the inspiration for this still life oil painting. The red blooms cast a warm glowing shadow on the table and the sunlight reflected off the glass vase. The result was this contemporary still life that conveys the warmth of that morning sun and the beauty of the crimson flowers. The abstraction of the shadow and the cast of vermilion from the flower buds drew me toward the contemporary subject.
The original oil painting was created on a 6x8 inch stretched canvas and resides in a new home with a buyer from Minnesota..
I've been selling originals and reproductions of my work online since 2007. People all over the world have purchased my art and it is wonderful to connect with so many.

Nancy, I am so taken with your brushwork and the simplicity of this work, I am staring another exhibit featuring Orange... This will be in it... located in the Discussions section of "Contemporary Floral... Check out Tolere's image ... It will accompany yours.. Why not be the curator of your own exhibit- It would be exciting to see your choices. F/L and featuring this in the exhibit. : )
