CAPTION
Megan likes to keep her dainties clean, but without a dryer she's left to hang them on the line where the whole neighborhood can see them. Of course, since it broke she's gotten free car washes, restaurant dinners and flowers left at her door from all the nice young men in the neighborhood... but none of them have offered to fix her dryer. Why could that be?
TECHNICAL DETAILS
This photograph was taken with a Gowlandflex large format 4x5" Twin Lens Reflex (TLR) camera. The size of a large toaster, she's a big girl and quite temperamental, but if I treat her right the results are stunning. The taking lens is a 180mm Schneider-Kreuznach Symmar-S f/5.6.
Film used is Fuji Astia color transparency film at 100 ISO. I do the E-6 developing myself.
The film is drum scanned by a pair of Dutch photographers, who are known for the outstanding, professional quality of their scans: for example, they have scanned images for the Van Gogh Museum. Drum scanning ensures the utmost quality; the 16-bit files are over 200 megapixels, and 450MB in size!
I use a color calibrated workflow, and I export the files in AdobeRGB color space to ensure widest color gamut available.
