Description
FALLING SPRING WATERFALL by KAREN WILES
Falling Spring Waterfall is a breathtaking 80' waterfall in the Alleghany Highlands near the small Virginia towns of Covington and Hot Springs.
Thomas Jefferson described the Falling Spring Falls as a "remarkable cascade...falling over a rock about 200 feet to the valley below." One of the largest falls in Virginia, it cascades from an overhanging ledge, and is fed by a river of aqua blue mineral springs. Wiles walked into the forest and to the edge drop of this breathtaking waterfall for more photographic views of every angle. From it's feeding crystal clear mineral river banks above, the view is spectacular from all angles as can be seen in other artworks viewable in Wiles online galleries at http://karen-wiles.artistwebsites.com

Thank you so much to the Broken Soldier and I am so glad you like "When a Woman Dreams," it is one of my most favorite of all my works!

Really lovely shot! I've always found creating a good landscape shot to be among the most difficult to attain. (same goes for still life which you also do a great job with - see: "When a Woman Dreams.") Hard to screw up a shot of a pretty girl. They look good in a potato sack.

Thank you Ruth! This waterfall was beautiful! It reminded me of seeing something as natural as beauty that would be found in the Garden of Eden!
