Description
An English-made, Ensign 420 camera, designed to take eight frames on a roll of 120 film. This 1940s camera with a simple single-stroke Trikon three-speed shutter (plus T and B) has a rather flimsy feel to its construction, which may reflect post-war conditions. It is a very basic viewfinder camera from the bottom end of Ensign's range.
This photo was shot using a Pentacon Six medium format camera, a type that was designed in 1955, and Fomapan 200 black and white film. The quality is not perfect but I believe it meets the professional standards expected in the era these cameras were made, which was the objective of the project.
