Description
The Emperor (named for one of San Francisco's most interesting and nutty historical figures) is a Favorelle rooster who belongs to friends of mine in Red Wing, MN. Their odd, sometimes comical dignity is perhaps my favorite thing about chickens, and in Norton I had a perfect expression of the chicken attitude at its most regal. Norton I of San Francisco may have been a nut -- but he was also the first to imagine that the Golden Gate Bridge could exist.
Listed price is for the custom framed original, created in layers of pen, watercolor, and pastel pencil on heavy, pure cotton paper. Photos with frame available on request.
