Description
This is part of a series of larger oil on canvas pieces based on misty or hazy landscapes. I used the oil paint heavily blended onto the surface using brushes, cloths, fingers! and anything that was handy. The aim is to allow the oil paint to mix on the surface and create lots of accidental colours and tones in the same way that wet on wet watercolour works. This painting is of the Yar Valley covered in patches of early morning mist.
