This photograph was taken at the base of the majestic Sandia Mountains, right outside of Albuquerque, New Mexico. The sun was still high enough in the sky to be feverishly hot, but was just starting to turn to a warmer color, thus lighting up the entire landscape a bright, brilliant gold.
