Love horses, but would be hard pressed to say I ride. Had some memorable trail rides in Italy, Mexico, several places in the States and Canada, I have yet to develop any skills. This particular horse, I met in Montana at the Drinking Horse ranch. He would stop frequently, have a leisurely snack, scan the lead horse's direction. He would then take a short cut. That is how we kept up with the group. Worked for him, worked for me.
