Description
The name "daisy" was derived from "daes eage," an Anglo Saxon term. A daisy was called "daes eage" or "day's eye" because these flowers open during the day and close during the night.
In mythology this flower is said to have derived from a Dryad who presided over forests, meadows, and pastures. Roman legend states that the nymph Belides caught the eye of Vertumnus, the god of orchards. This happened when she was dancing with other nymphs at the edge of a forest. Belides didn't want to be the center of attention, so morphed into the flower bellis. This is the daisy's botanical name.
In Victorian times, young, women would pluck a daisy's petals, one by one, and sing, "He loves me, he loves me not," as she pulled each petal.
The Celtics also connected daisies with innocence. They believed that daisies came from the spirits of babies who had died during the birthing process. The daisy flowers grew in order to lighten their parents' grief.
Today, the daisy continues to stand for innocence, purity and love.

The soft tones work really well here, a very light feeling so perfect for the flowers and pink background. Very nice job with the bokeh lights, love this kind of photography!
