Description
My grandfather who was a pioneer used a mallet like this for many jobs on the homestead. I worked on this image to make it look like his last job and that he was finished with earthly matters. This image could be used for a Father's Day card or a Sympathy Card.

Shirley, this was my selection for discussion today in the Creative Women Artist Group. What an incredibly powerful piece, in so many ways, is this one! This composition is quite a tribute to your pioneer grandfather, utilizing the tools that he left behind. Here I see the strength and power of this man, as this iron mallet meets the metal surface, all enhanced by the lighting. I can almost "hear" the blow of the strike. Very well accomplished, Shirley! voted
