Description
I was inspired to paint the city skyline with this perspective and with heavy fog after seeing Terry Schmitt's gorgeous aerial photo of the Golden Gate Bridge taken for U.P.I. The carpet is after the stunningly lovely carpet in the 1880s painting by Victor Vasnetsov, entitled, "The Flying Carpet". A close friend, who was tenderly and magically cared for by her doctor while she was ill, commissioned me to paint this for him.

A fun and imaginative painting, proving that - without dreams there can be no reality... :-)
