�Do Not Eat the Yellow Cake� is a freestanding mixed media sculpture by artist Marjorie Lynne Wagner.
�Do Not Eat the Yellow Cake�-- Social commentary about the processing of uranium ore into �yellow cake� and how toxic waste products affected the local economy, health and safety of the public in Moab, Utah. It polluted the Colorado River which supplies drinking water to Arizona and Southern California. Piece includes sculpture from recycled items including antiques-Geiger counter, cake box and table, and accompanying ekphraisic poem.
Dedicated to Congressman George Miller (D- Ca.), an environmentalist who wrote the law which led to the cleanup of the uranium �tailings pile� that was leaching into the Colorado River.
