The older I get the more I realize that whatever happens to the body, the spirit often stays the same. Here, she is not young, but holds herself with pride and has done her hair and eyebrows as she's quite feminine. Her jewelry doesn't seem modern but rather important keepsakes. Her eyes are bright and thoughtful. Gives me hope for the years that are to come.

I keep going back to this woman. It's her eyes, they just seem to be seeing things only in her memory. Beautiful lady and photo. Well done.

This is my Fav. Great composition, the light one her face, the powerful expression, her eyes. I can see how this is accentuated my the imaginary curve created by the line of hair, the hand with the finger pointing towards her face.

Michel Verhoef replied:

Thanks a lot Carmen for your thoughts ...it really is so credible !! Thanks for shedding your lights on it :)

Fantastic portrait, full of feelings and emotions! You are so great catching those human moments! Everything is mixed up in her eyes: melancholy, longing, a bit of sadness, good memories as in her entire life probably!

Michel Verhoef replied:

Yes....she was such a kind lady....just amazing to see how kind people can be :)
