Description
Darkroom photograph enlarger. Durst 606 colour and black-and-white enlarger dating from the 1970s. This equipment is used to enlarge photographs from negatives. The enlarger shines a light through the negative and a lens. The lens projects an enlarged version of the image on photographic paper (left). This print is then developed in a tray of photographic chemicals (right). This process is carried out in a darkroom with low light levels (red lighting).
