Description
This was so much fun to create! I took a photographic artwork I did of an amethyst crystal and created it in a collage, where there were four images of the same crystal. I worked digitally to center these images in such a way to create a circle and central window effect and then I created an overlay with another image, which was originally an oil painting of mine and placed it over the window. Then I created the framed effect around this completed image image, which seemed to complement the sparkling crystal and crystal formation.
I primarily created this for a t-shirt of other kind of clothing, bag, pillow etc. But this would be lovely for any purpose one would choose to use this for whether it be on a wall, in a card or on a poster and elsewhere. It has a celestial feel to it that I really like and I'm sure it could be a stunning feature where ever it was used.
I recently changed the name of this image by adding the word Mandala to the title and now in hindsight I feel it so appropriate, considering what that original painted image at the center of this represented and what a mandala represents spiritually. The image at the center was taken from my original artwork called .'Lifes Journey' which represented my journey through life.
The original artwork is in my gallery on this site.
I can also see now how having the amethyst surrounding this image in the form of a mandala with its wonderful lustrous colour gives a sense of grace to this center piece image.
