Description
Recently inspired by artist, Arvydas Butautas and his fantasy art, I have attempted my first image in surrealism. Surrealistic paintings have always been about dreams and their symbolism. Salvador Dali was a master at this. Images are seen in unusual sizes, and often colours are not realistic.
So here's my free verse poem: We dream and in so doing conjure fantastic images. We relax and let our minds run free, unhampered by man-made sounds, activities or technology. "A little birdie told me so" is a common expression for explaining how we find out things no one thought we knew. Butterflies represent freedom and adaptation. Mushrooms are usually magical. Marbles provide a game of chance. Hanging in the clouds are my moments of inspiration and I'm leaning on the tools I need to fly me through this wondrous journey of creating art.
