adds a touch of whimsy
and old country charm
to the River Walk
along the Valley River
in Murphy, North Carolina...
Captured in full autumn color, enveloped in river willows, maples, and sycamore, the wood boardwalk leads into the forest and along the stream which leads to the Hiwassee River, where fishing is good and the trail is enjoyed by hikers, walkers, and runners every day... The path leads past the old trestle for the vintage railway tracks into town. The steel trestle has stood for decades and carried the L&N railroad line...
