Description
This is the wharf in Coupeville, Washington. It's a town landmark, if not identifier. An elderly man, upon viewing this, told me his memory of it as a child. We're talking about some time ago when environmental laws were non-existent. He said his parants refused to let him go out on the wharf without them. So he and his friends would sneak out and hide in an outhouse they used to have on the surrounding deck. They could then fish without being seen, through the hole in the floor.

You do Whidby Island justice my friend. Spent a week out there visiting my daughters last october and your paintings bring back memories of that visit. I went out on the Coupeville warf and shot a dozen photo's. Your Deception Pass painting is also Outstanding. Looks better then my photo's of it. I am adding you to my watch list.
