I really like these old Kirby Vacuums. I think that they have such a nostalgic look to them, and I like that there is not a lot of plastic. I have nothing against plastic, I just don't think it looks all too pleasing. It seems to me that there is a rush to over modernize our appliences, and I certainly understand how that appeals to the vast majority of consumers. But for me, it's a vacuum, a tool that I use to maintain my home and office. I don't need a lot of whistles and bells to get the job done!
