Like the Rose Parade in America, the city of Menton, in the south of France has it's own parade of floats.. with Fruit! Citrus fruit! Each year a different theme of these lovely colored fruits.. just perfect for the early part of February.. cheerful, non? Fleur-de-Lis, Windmills, Eiffel Towers among the palm trees, honoring different corners of France.. a huge Champagne Bottle on a tilt pouring it's contents into an pyramid of huge glasses. This was held in the town center just across the road from the Mediterranean Sea.
