Description
For some time I have been exploring the concept of using the light and energy passing through the lens of my camera to "paint" an image. I had a vision, but was blind to it until I developed a method to add time and motion to the equation. "Christmas Wind", taken on Christmas morning, is a product of this quest and technique. It transforms architectural features such as pillars and beams into fantastic shapes, scenes and apparitions, this suggesting a cold wind blowing through an open window, quite impossible to perceive with the human eye.
............................................................................
"Christmas Wind" is created solely by a photographic technique relying on the focused light and energy of a single exposure in the camera to offer a different visual reality... A reality of light through time and motion.
..................................................
"Christmas Wind" is only being issued as a limited edition print, with a total of 50 copies to be produced. If you desire a signed certificate of authenticity when you purchase this Douglas Taylor Fine Art Print of "Christmas Wind", please contact the artist via e-mail at: douglas@pricklypearadise.com
..............................................................
Signed, numbered and authenticated prints may be obtained directly from the artist as well. This is the first public exhibition "Christmas Wind". It is a full frame, 2:3 ratio format image, and is featured in my Creative Photography - "Bending the Beam" gallery.
