I was wandering around the Carcassone old town on a drizzly November early morning, and came across this fabulous shot in a neglected square. I spent a long time photographing this statue of Christ, trying to get the best angle through a tangle of trees and decaying walls. Although I�m not a Christian, I found this juxtaposition of Christian symbolism against ruin and decay powerfully compelling.
