Description
The Children's Memorial Tower stands as a picturesque town landmark in Stockbridge, MA. Donated to the city in 1878 by wealthy New York Lawyer David Dudley Field (son of respected Stockbridge Congregational pastor Rev. D. D. Field), the clock tower stands in memory of Field's grandchildren. Per Field's bequest, the tower's bells ring each evening at 5:30 PM between "apple blossom time and the first frost on the pumpkin." The Memorial Tower stands atop the presumed site of the city's first meeting house. The wood portion of the reflect pays homage to the Stick-style construction of the original meeting house.
This striking fine art photography image is the perfect conversation piece for a wall in your home, office or business.
